  • Date of birth: 17 April 1968 in Ludwigsburg, Germany.
  • Academic education: Eberhard-Karls-Universität, Tübingen, degree in international economics.
  • Doctoral studies: Economics at Eberhard-Karls-Universität, Tübingen (1996) and science at the University of Stuttgart (1999).
  • Professorship: Since 2004 professor for corporate finance and director of the European School of Finance (ESF) at Nürtingen-Geislingen University (HfWU). Dean of the anglophone master’s programme “International Finance”.
  • Transaction experience: Dietmar Ernst holds more than 10 years of experience as an advisor in corporate finance and internationalization and has completed numerous corporate finance transactions. After his studies, he worked with several renowned banks and private equity companies. By means of his work as a project leader in Mergers & Acquisitions at Landesbank Baden-Württemberg and as an investment banker with Süd Private Equity, Dietmar acquired a diversified knowledge in the areas of financial transaction and financial advisory.
  • Awards: “Professor des Jahres 2008” (professor of the year 2008) in Germany.

  • Date of birth: 19 September 1968 in Stuttgart.
  • Academic education: Eberhard Karls-University, Tübingen. Degrees in business and law as well as participation in the MBA programme at Kenan-Flagler Business School (USA).
  • Doctoral studies: Doctorate level in business (1995) and law (1998).
  • Professorship: Professor of International Finance at Munich University of Applied Science since 2010 and at the University of Louisville since 2004.
  • Transaction experience: Joachim has worked as a corporate finance advisor and investment banker since 1996. As vice-president of Rothschild in London and Frankfurt, he led numerous corporate finance transactions between 2000 and 2003. Joachim also holds experience from his time as an associate with Sal. Oppenheim (1998-1999) and as an analyst with PricewaterhouseCoopers (1996-1997).
  • Literature: Joachim authored several books of reference about corporate finance and investment banking.
